The Life of Lord Marpa by Gampopa

This life story of the great 11th century translator, Marpa Chökyi Lodrö, was written by Gampopa Sönam Rinchen (1079-1153). (5 pages)

Story of the Lives of the Dharma Protectress Achi Chokyi Dronma by Rinchen Phuntshog

This is the classic story of Achi, the “Grandmother”, of the Drigung Kagyü lineage written by one of her descendants in the Kyura family line, Rinchen Phüntshog (1509-1557). She was an enlightened being who took birth to be a mother and display the perfect realization of Buddhahood to inspire others. She later attained the rainbow body and continues to this day to protect all who call on her for assistance in their dharma practice and lives. (6 pages)
